SATURDAY 5TH APRIL: 10:30am - 4pm At Saredon Studios, The Roller Mill, Teddesley Road, Penkridge, ST15 5BN. Grab your brollies and join us at the studio for our April Showers linocut workshop; a great opportunity to socialise with other creative-minded people! You will enjoy exploring and experimenting with essential linocutting skills in our relaxed friendly studio. The masterclass will have a rainy-day theme, taking inspiration from wellington boots, umbrellas, rainclouds, and muddy puddles. You'll be able to select a seasonal design, and learn how to create a linocut of a rainy-day scene. Once your linocut is carved, you will then learn how to use it to create your own prints. Not only will you get to enjoy this creative experience, you will also be able to take home your prints and linocut to continue printing at home! Recommended for complete beginners to intermediate. You are in safe hands with our helpful tutor Charlotte, who is an experienced printmaker and creative facilitator. She will cater her feedback to you as an individual, giving you confidence in your new abilities. This masterclass is a full day session. Running from 10:30am until 4:00pm, with a 30 minute lunch break. It costs £73 per participant. All materials and equipment needed will be provided. Your workshop includes light refreshments (biscuits & tea) free of charge. We do advise you to bring a packed lunch, or grab something in town for the lunch break. Toilet facilities are on site. Any participants under the age of 16 must be accompanied throughout the workshop by a full paying adult. Our studio is wheelchair accessible. TUTOR: This workshop will be hosted by Charlotte. She has all the relevant background checks including a DBS check. Charlotte has gained vast experience as an illustrator and creative facilitator over numerous years. Working with the University of Wolverhampton, local schools and other organisations to host excellent workshops. Charlotte is also a freelance illustrator having worked on numerous projects such as murals and book illustrations.
