SATURDAY 15th June: 10:30am - 4:00pm At Saredon Studios, Newhall Arcade, 81 High Green, Cannock, WS11 1BN Always wanted to learn how to illustrate your own stories? Want to know how to create a visual narrative? Then this is the masterclass for you! You will enjoy learning and exploring essential illustration skills in our relaxed friendly studio. During this masterclass you will learn how to visually interpret your narrative and layout a picture book. We will also explore the importance of styles and variety for different age groups. You are welcome to bring your own written story or poem to illustrate. Or a small selection of short stories will be available to choose from instead. Recommended for anyone who would like to explore the world of picture book illustration. No experience needed you are in safe hands with our helpful tutor Charlotte, who is an experienced illustrator and creative facilitator. She will cater her feedback to you as an individual, giving you confidence in your new abilities. This masterclass is a full day session. Running from 10:30am until 4:00pm, with a 30 minute lunch break. It costs £73 per participant. All materials and equipment needed will be provided. Your workshop includes light refreshments (biscuits & tea) free of charge. We do advise you to bring a packed lunch, or grab something in town for the lunch break. Toilet facilities are on site. You are required to pay for the course in full, when booking. Any participants under the age of 16 must be accompanied throughout the workshop by a full paying adult. Our studio is wheelchair accessible. TUTOR: This workshop will be hosted by Charlotte. She has all the relevant background checks including a DBS check. Charlotte has gained vast experience as an illustrator and creative facilitator over numerous years. Working with the University of Wolverhampton, local schools and other organisations to host excellent workshops. Charlotte is also a freelance illustrator having worked on numerous projects such as murals and book illustrations.
