STUDIO TERMS & CONDITIONS

PLEASE READ & UNDERSTAND FULLY BEFORE BOOKING ANY ACTIVITIES WITH THE STUDIO

All customers must read through the following guidelines carefully before booking onto a workshop to ensure that you agree to and understand the measures in place at Saredon Studios:

COVID 19
-
If you have received a positive test for COVID-19 do not attend your workshop. Call or email us as soon as possible to inform us.
-
Students have the choice of wearing a mask upon arrival at Saredon Studios.
-
Hand-washing and sanitising facilities will be available throughout the building. Please ensure that you wash or sanitise your hands before entering and upon leaving the workshop, and before the use of any shared equipment.
-
Students should dispose of any waste or rubbish upon leaving the workshop, and take all personal belongings home with them following the session.
Terms of Service for Onsite Workshops
By making a booking with us, we assume that you have read, understand and accept these terms of service.

Your workshop fee
The workshop fee covers your tuition and materials for the workshop, unless otherwise stated. The full workshop fee is payable on booking to secure your place on a workshop. Bookings and payment can be made online or in person at our studio shop.
Delays, cancellations and transfers by student
Our cancellation policy is designed to give customers some freedom to change a workshop booking, but we have conditions around cancellations which have an impact on other customers and our business. Please familiarise yourself with our terms of cancellation below before booking your workshop.

Cancellations
-
If you have to cancel your booking, please let us know as soon as possible. Your booking will be considered cancelled from the time at which you inform us of your wish to cancel.
-
If, for any reason, you cancel your booking more than one calendar month before the start of the workshop, the workshop fee will be refunded, minus the following deposit: 50% of the total workshop fee.
-
No refunds can be made and no transfers will be offered to those who cancel, for any reason, within one calendar month of the start of the workshop.
-
No reductions or refunds are available to students arriving late or leaving their workshop early.
Group bookings require payment of a non-refundable deposit. The deposit amount will depend on group size, of which you will be informed upon booking.
Transfers
You cannot transfer your place on a workshop to another person at any point. You can transfer to another Saredon Studios workshop of your choice in the current calendar year. This is subject to availability, and has to be at least one calendar month before the start of the workshop for which you originally booked, at no extra charge (unless the new workshop has a higher cost in which case you will need to pay any difference).
You cannot transfer to another workshop less than one calendar month before the start of a workshop. Our cancellation policy applies.
Delays
If you (the group) are late arriving / starting a workshop, your session will still finish at the advertised time.
Please note:
In the interests of fairness, this policy applies equally to all Saredon Studios customers, regardless of circumstances. No exceptions will be made.
Delays and cancellation by Saredon Studios
Delays
On the extremely rare occasion (due to circumstances beyond the studios control) the workshop is late to start, you will be provided with your full workshop time advertised.
Cancellations
Occasionally we may need to cancel a workshop due to unforeseen circumstances. We will give you as much notice as possible. If your workshop is cancelled you can transfer to another workshop, subject to availability, at no extra charge, (unless the new workshop has a higher cost in which case you will need to pay any difference). Alternatively, we will refund your workshop fee in full. If you paid for the workshop using gift vouchers, these will be reinstated.
In the event of cancellation, Saredon Studios will not reimburse for materials brought, travel or accommodation arrangements made.
Group workshops
Please note that our group workshops are designed for participants aged 16+. Any participants under the age of 16 must be accompanied throughout the workshop by a full paying adult. We would not recommend these workshops for children under the age of 11 - please contact for details if needed.
Children’s Art Club & Children's Holiday Activities
Please note that our children’s Art club / holiday activities are designed for children age 8 years to 16 years. Children must be able to use the toilet without adult help/supervision. This is as parents/guardians are unable to remain with the child during the workshop (due to limited space). Tutors teaching children’s workshops will always have the relevant background checks including DBS. We cannot accept bookings for these workshops for anyone under the age of 8 without prior approval - please email for details.
Change of Workshop Content or Tutor
Every effort will be made by the studio to run workshops as advertised. However, there may be occasions when the studio has to change the workshop detail and/or tutors. If this should happen, the studio reserves the right to make these changes; no reductions or refunds are available and our cancellation policy applies.
Food & Special Diets
For our workshops refreshments are provided throughout the day. As peoples’ allergies, intolerances, special diets and preferences are so many and varied, we are not able to cater for these. You as the customer are responsible for checking allergen information. We advise people with special dietary needs/preferences to bring their own refreshments if necessary.
Allergies
As peoples’ allergies are so many and varied, we are not able to cater for these. If you think you may have an allergy to materials or equipment used in workshops it is your responsibility to check this before booking and to take the necessary precautions if you can. No refunds will be offered due to any allergic reactions. Saredon Studios will not be liable or pay you compensation, damages or a refund if you are affected by any allergies from food, materials, equipment or other similar means at the studio.
Gift Cards
The Saredon Studios Gift Card can be purchased through the website or in the studio shop. The expiry date is stated on the gift card. Gift cards cannot be exchanged for cash. No refund can be given for unwanted or unused gift cards.
Photographs
On occasion we will take photographs of workshops in action and artwork produced for promotional use on the website and in advertising. If you would rather we didn't use photographs of yourself or your artwork please tell us at the start of your workshop.
Safety in the studio
Please keep in mind your own safety with materials and equipment you may be using. All equipment needs to be used with care. Health and safety information for materials and equipment used will be explained during the workshop. Our tutors will be happy to help and may step in if you are unable to use the materials and equipment safely. The studio is not liable for any injury sustained through misuse of materials and equipment. It is your responsibility as the adult attending the workshop to use materials and equipment responsibly
Children aged 8 upwards are able to participate in children’s workshops. It is the parent's responsibility to ascertain whether their child is capable and sensible enough to use materials and equipment for the workshop.
Children and adults not listening to safety instructions, misbehaving or acting in a manner that endangers themselves and those around them will be asked to leave the workshop for their own safety. No refunds will be offered in this eventuality.
Force Majeure
Saredon Studios will not be liable or pay you compensation, damages or a refund if our contractual obligations to you are affected by any event which cannot, even with all due care, be foresee or avoided. This includes but is not limited to; war, or threat of war, strikes, riot, civil strife, industrial dispute, terrorist activity, natural or nuclear disaster, fire, adverse weather conditions, pandemics, technical problems affecting transport or any similar events beyond the studio’s control.
